Frozen Ocean 06:52
[Verse 1] Here on the shore, looking out to sea, In the dead of January, The tide has stopped, former waves have ceased The once-warm waters frozen in a sheet How far from here could I walk If I stepped out on that ice block? [Chorus 1] Frozen ocean, take me far from here, Far from this world I know. Frozen ocean, lead me far from home. Just how far out can I go Before I reach the end and sink down below? [Verse 2] On that tundra, only ice around Bitter chill, winter winds the only sound How far til I reach the outer bound? If I do, would I see those who’ve drowned? Too far from shore to return Too perilous for self-concern [Chorus 2] Frozen ocean, take me far from here, Far from this world that I know. Frozen ocean, lead me far from home. Just how far out can I go Before I reach the end and sink down below? [Bridge] Only you can stop me in my path. Only you can save me. Is that too much to ask? That fire in your eyes can warm me, burn me back to life. [Chorus 2] Frozen ocean, take me far from here, Far from this world that I know. Frozen ocean, lead me far from home. Just how far out can I go Before I reach the end and sink down below?

Angel 05:10
[Verse 1] I don't know you, I've never seen you. But today you caught my eye. Now it's only tonight, But how could I forget? [Chorus] I've seen you once a thousand times, Each time, the first and last. Never again as once it was. Tonight it's you I see. Will you turn and see me? [Verse 2] Your shining hair, angelic face, Starlight skin and lightning eyes. I'll think of you on some lonesome night When you'll be but a memory That sings and comforts me. [Chorus] [Verse 3] You came down from heaven To grace the earth for just one night And then return whence you came, Hearts and memories in your wake. Or so this story goes. [Chorus] (2x)

[Verse 1] Now that I'm gone for good, We'll never be like I hoped we could. I'll remember our time And never forget your smile. [Verse 2] Did you ever feel like I do? Oh, sweet darling what's the use If I cherished you in vain And you never felt the same? [Chorus] Little do you know The hearts you break! Little do you see The souls you shake! Scattered at your feet Are hearts you could take From those who've been rocked By your wake. You're the one everyone wants, Yet you elude each pursuit. We all see, we all desire. Won't you come? How we wish you would! [Verse 3] My heart lingers on only you And wastes away these days. You're blind to me stranded here, Waiting for a chance that will never be. [Chorus]

Still 05:05
[Verse 1] Come to grips with this love: What I need, not what I want. So sick of longing after! Eros shall not be my master. Turn this page, what can I say? Learn to feel some different way. [Verse 2] Over you I lost my mind, All those wasted tears and time. Why wait longer? Please, help me Move past you, let things be! Else I shall suffocate. So for our sakes, please, lift this weight. [Chorus] Oh, I’ll make my peace, Stem the flow, this heart that bleeds. I’ll be there when you need A friend who your pain will ease, For I’ll still... [Verse 3] Oh, how strange to hear you say That your heart aches in much the same way! But for someone else you pine. All the more I should resign! But I promise I’ll still be here When you need someone near. [Chorus] [Outro] Yes, I’ll still... Yes, I’ll still love you! Yes, I'll still...

about

After releasing each of these separately (one per week) to SoundCloud and YouTube, I wanted to compile them by month. Naturally, these are my releases from January. All except "Angel," the last release of the month, have been remixed for this EP.
This has been a great crash course in utilizing Logic Pro X and in self-mixing. Maybe one day a pro will mix these, but for now I'm quite pleased with the results. Huge thanks to everyone who's showed support as I begin this journey of posting my music. Biggest thanks to Andrew Newman (AKA Lo Noom, check him out) for pushing me out of my nest, so to speak, and reminding me that there is no Try, only Do.
